Okay--look on a search engine for a photo imaging program called GIMP. It is free to download, but make sure you get the users manual, too, because it is kind of hard to learn, but you can use curves for color adjustment, and that isn't too hard, just make sure you keep a copy of your original before you start experimenting with it. The more you use it, the easier it becomes.
