I remember there were trees on the fringes of the dunes but I never thought of this place as a source of fall scenery. Very nice.

I know, On the outskirts there are alot of shrubs and such and the further you go in there is mostly just dunes. Near the vistor center there is more trees and plants. If you walk over the dunes you will find the prize. ha I've never been there in Autumn and was very surprised of the fall colors. Never go there in the dead of summer though, thats for sure! ha Thank you

I was there on a scorching day once and I noticed the sand just doesn't get hot. It reflects so well you can walk barefoot in comfort.
